Birch Ridge reopened in December 2022 as a private inn designed for group stays, weddings, and retreats.
The property was purchased by Jacob McGrath in the summer of 2022, with a clear vision to transform the space into something new while preserving what made it special. Over the course of just a few months, the inn underwent a full refresh, with updated interiors, restored woodwork, and thoughtful upgrades throughout.
The building itself is distinctive. A double A-frame structure set on 2.7 acres in the heart of Killington, offering both character and scale. The original beams were refinished to highlight the natural wood, while new flooring, furnishings, and modern systems were added to create a more comfortable and elevated experience.
The great room serves as the centerpiece, with a full bar, lounge seating, fireplace, and space to gather. A separate dining area provides room for shared meals, while outdoor spaces include a hot tub, patio, and open areas designed for events and celebrations.
The property has a long history in the community. For many years, Birch Ridge was known for its restaurant and welcoming atmosphere. While the restaurant is no longer part of the experience, the focus has shifted toward private stays and full property rentals that give guests complete control of their time and space.
This next chapter is still evolving, with continued improvements to the grounds and outdoor spaces to further enhance the experience.
At its core, Birch Ridge remains what it has always been, a place that brings people together.
